SUVARNA PRASHANAM - Enhance immunity with the power of Ayurveda

You've captured a significant concern that emerged during the Covid pandemic. As the focus on immunity intensified, many products claiming to boost immunity flooded the market. This surge included everything from supplements to superfoods, often with exaggerated claims. It’s crucial to approach such products with caution and skepticism, ensuring that they are supported by credible scientific evidence and align with medical advice.

Few people are aware that Ayurveda includes numerous medicines and their combinations that have been scientifically validated to enhance immunity. This traditional system prescribes a variety of herbs and herbal formulations that contribute significantly to improving intelligence, mental health, and physical fitness. Among these, Suvarna Prashanam is one of the most notable.

In Ayurveda, giving gold particles to children is a distinctive practice known as swarna prashana. Here, "swarna" means gold, and "prashana" means consuming or ingesting. Thus, swarna prashana involves the consumption of gold in specific doses. Gold, one of the seven pure metals, is primarily used for both preventive and therapeutic purposes. Children who undergo swarna prashana are believed to experience enhanced intellectual development, improved digestion and metabolism, increased physical strength, better immunity, greater fertility, and a longer lifespan.

Suvarnaprasanam is an excellent method for enhancing both immunity and cognitive development in children. It contains gold ash, which is composed of the purest form of gold nanoparticles. Research indicates that gold ash significantly boosts immunity, memory, and intelligence.

When combined with medicated ghee and honey, svarnabhasmam becomes an exceptional formula that provides all the previously mentioned benefits. The ghee can be enriched with medhya dravyas (herbs that enhance intelligence) or use traditional preparations such as Kalyanaka Ghritam, Mahakalyanaka Ghritam, or Brahmi Ghritam.

Some people rub gold ornaments on a rough surface and give the residue to children, but this is incorrect. The gold in ornaments is not pure; it is mixed with copper to enhance its hardness and shape, which can potentially lead to poisoning.
